Most Buick cars have a 3 year 100,000 mile warranty on their transmissions and after that they won't cover the cost of a rebuilt Buick Transmission or repairs to their car's transmissions. Over the years some common problems with Buick transmissions such as the Lesabre. The Buick Lesabre transmission problems span over 15 years from 1990 to 2005. The classic problem has been the Control Solenoid which causes a variety of shifting problems. The Buick Rendezvous AWD transmission has had issues for years with the EPC solenoid which regulates the line pressure. Mid 2000 models of the Buick Enclave had serious premature transmission failures which required a rebuilt transmission but many of those were covered under warranty as hey happened at about 60,000 - 90,000 miles. Common occurrence are with the 44OT4 transmissions and the modulator which causes slipping of the gears, the accumulator pistons breaking on the T400 transmissions which causes rough shifting, and the 4L8OE Buick transmissions sensor issues which cause several problems in the shifting performance. The 200C transmission were built with plastic connectors and low quality modulators which cause uneven shifting.
